Christopher K. Norton
A retired financial executive and current board leader for nonprofit organizations, Christopher K. Norton focuses his attention on helping students grow into responsible individuals. An alumnus of Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where he earned his degree in economics, Christopher K. Norton has served as the board manager of Haverford since 2004, during which time he also chaired the school's long-term planning committee and served a six-year term as board vice chair. Mr. Norton also gives back to his secondary school alma mater, Loomis Chaffee, as well. As chairman of the board of trustees at Loomis Chaffee, a highly regarded Connecticut boarding school, he has facilitated the creation of a new academic center that emphasizes community service, progressive social values, and personal integrity.
Christopher K. Norton has also held a number of leadership roles with the Washington Center, a student services organization that encourages student leadership and civic participation. He is the father of a Washington Center alumnus and continues to develop his connections with the organization. Mr. Norton approaches his board leadership activities with the experience gained by working on Wall Street for 25 years, during which time he enjoyed collaborating and competing with intelligent colleagues around the world.
